Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Client Brief

Yorkshire Air Ambulance approached us to produce a campaign video that would support the launch of their ‘Heli Hops’ school competition. The aim was to encourage primary schools across Yorkshire to take part in a fun fundraising challenge, with the chance to win a special visit from the YAA helicopter team.

The video needed to be clear, energetic and easy to understand, appealing to both teachers and pupils. Most importantly, it had to deliver key information quickly and effectively while reflecting the professionalism and excitement of the cause.

Our Approach

To achieve this, we created a focused and engaging promotional video that included:

  • On-brand visuals that matched the tone and identity of Yorkshire Air Ambulance
  • Footage of the YAA helicopter and crew, helping to visualise what schools could win
  • Clean and energetic background music to add pace and excitement
  • A clear call to action, encouraging schools to take part and support the charity

The video was designed for use across social media and email campaigns and the YAA website, making it highly versatile for digital marketing.

The Result

The video helped Yorkshire Air Ambulance:

  • Communicate a specific campaign message clearly and effectively to their target audience
  • Drive engagement from Yorkshire schools, with increased awareness and participation in the Heli Hops challenge
  • Reinforce the vital community role they play in the region, through a fun and educational initiative
  • Provide a polished piece of content that could be repurposed throughout the duration of the campaign

Why It Works

Campaign videos like this are ideal for charities, schools, and fundraising initiatives looking to spread a message quickly and professionally. This type of video helps:

  • Simplify complex or detailed information using visuals and text overlays
  • Create excitement and urgency through music, branding and tone
  • Reach wider audiences via digital channels (email, social, websites)
  • Encourage participation and community involvement in a way that’s visual and shareable
