During the lockdown period, Jessica was one of many fitness coaches who had to stop her face-to-face classes and re-think of a way to continue her work remotely. The online yoga class seemed to be the obvious choice and so jessica came to me to create a promotional video.

Jessica wanted to give her viewers a sense of community and support, somewhere they can go during the difficult time. It was important to her to create a video that matched her personality and the current climate.

I took this opportunity to use Jessica’s living space to film the majority of the video as this felt relevant and unique and gave customers a sense of familiarity. The shots were mainly handheld to create that natural movement and a gimbal was used for the wider shots taken outside.

This video helped to engage new customers who wanted to improve their fitness and wellbeing in the comfort of their own home. The video gives a sense of calmness and clarity: a chance to escape and unwind. It uses keywords to emphasise the mood and provides helpful information about the class. The background music begins soft and enticing and regularly changes pace to keep the viewer engaged.
